He was taken to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Rawalpindi for treatment.\n\nReports said he briefly lost consciousness and experienced internal bleeding, with doctors closely monitoring him during the initial hours after his admission.\n\nOn Wednesday, his condition improved and he was shifted from the intensive care unit to a regular hospital ward, the sources said. He has regained consciousness and recognized family members and is expected to be discharged in the coming days.\n\nThe Pakistan Army has not issued an official statement regarding his health.\n\nBajwa served as Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff from November 2016 until November 2022.
