American icon Dolly Parton has officially entered the travel center business, and she is not pretending she doesn't know who the competition is. At the June 24 grand opening of Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop, Parton joked that her new roadside destination exists because she "couldn't leave it to beavers." It was a playful but unmistakable reference to Buc-ee's iconic beaver mascot, as well as the famously wholesome television series Leave It to Beaver.
