Tips on using Thorium Reader.
Hi all.
I'm trying Thorium, since lots of people seem to love it. ANy tips? Here are a couple of issues I'm running into.
It seems to have a problem with some book formatting, e.g. in the current book I'm reading, it hits a page break and just starts saying "Thorium Reader" over and over again until I hit VO-right arrow, then it gets to the next part of the content. To be fair, Apple Books does something like this too, sometimes. But this is happening more often, at least for the current book. Any way to stop it?
Navigation sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I don't know if ctrl-3 goes forward like it's supposed to, but today when I opened the book and hit the end of a chapter, hitting the forward button didn't work. I had to go find the navigation button, go to the table of contents, and pick the next chapter and then get back to the main text.
So yeah, if anybody has any tips for easier navigation or the like, I'd love to know. Like I said, some people really seem to love this, so I'm trying to give it a chance. So far it's OK, but I don't necessarily see any advantages over Books. But I just started using it, so I figured, why not ask people who are already using it? I'd love tips, what you like about it, stuff like that. What are the essential keyboard shortcuts? is there an easy way to get to the TOC, and then jump back to the book once you've picked a chapter? All that kind of usability stuff.
