Getting voiceover too read back speech dictated with voice control.

In the previous version of iOS speech dictated with voice control would be echoed back to you after you finished dictating a phrase. Now speech is read by word as you are dictating it. Is there a way to reverse that so speeches only read back to you after you have dictated a phrase? I find it quite difficult to understand what I have just dictated while words are being read to me as I am speaking
