exploring areas

is there an application i can get to virtually walk around and explore points of interest as i virtually walk around somewhere, before i visit? i sure an app let me do this by virtually navigating across intersections etc. so i can get an idea of the lay-out of somewhere, but can't remember what it was any help appreciated Will
