  "textContent": "I had been avoiding the update to iOS 26.2 because on my iPad and my girlfriend’s iPhone I was unable to play the crossword puzzle in Apple news. unfortunately, my iPhone updated last night. now, as soon as I try to read the crossword puzzle, it puts me in an edit field. I can swipe left and get back to the top controls, but I cannot swipe through the crossword puzzle. has anybody else figured out a way around this?\n\nFor what it’s worth, I submitted a bug report on here and on Apple when I first noticed this with my iPad. I was emailed by Apple this, and told that somebody else did not have the problem. I have now seen it on my iPad Pro, an iPhone 15 Pro, and my iPhone 16 Pro.\n\nIf anybody knows a way around thisso that I can continue my several hundred day streak of crossword puzzle completion, please let me know?
