  "textContent": "I know where I'm going to be on March 13th.\n\nStudio Ghibli is important to a lot of people, so I won't claim any special relationship to it. Something about the beauty of human art captured in this way feels like something we briefly lost.\n\nThankfully, human creators are fighting to produce some of the best animation we've seen in decades. Even as the independent animation pipeline improves and anime reaches new heights, I love that we get to celebrate something like _Kiki's Delivery Service_ in this way.\n\nWhile many misattribute and misunderstand Miyazaki's comments about AI, I will say that there's something poetic about gathering together in 2026 to view such an important piece of human-made art.\n\n> We fly with our spirit.\n> That same spirit is what makes me paint and your friend bake.\n> Sometimes it's not easy, but we each need to find our own inspiration.\n\nThat human spirit will never be replaced by so-called \"AI art.\"\n\nBy the way, I had a whole thing written earlier, but of course, I moved it to _AppleInsider_ again.
