On one day we cycled into the lively lakeside town of St. Wolfgang, where we enjoyed a fantastic evening meal before soaking up the atmosphere. It’s a bustling tourist town with colourful buildings, cafés and restaurants spilling out onto the streets.\n\nThe following day we headed in the opposite direction, cycling to St. Gilgen. Most of the route followed excellent cycle paths, making it an enjoyable and easy ride with wonderful scenery along the way.\n\nThe campsite itself was peaceful and well maintained, with good facilities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its lakeside location makes it an ideal place to relax after a day exploring.\n\nWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return to spend longer discovering this beautiful part of Austria.\n\n* * *\n\n**Rating:** ⭐ 9/10\n\nA superb lakeside campsite and an excellent base for exploring Wolfgangsee, St. Wolfgang and St. Gilgen by bike.\n\n* * *\n\n### **Best for**\n\n👉 Cycling, lakeside walks and exploring the beautiful towns around Wolfgangsee.\n\n###",
