"textContent": "📍A**ddress:** Triester Straße 1, 9241 Wernberg, Österreich\n📍 **Coordinates:** 46.625120, 13.929580\n🌐 **Website:** Gasthaus Frühmann\n\n**Type:** Pub Stopover\n**Stayed:** March 2026\n**Nights:** 1\n**Price:** Free (customers of the pub, we didn't have to eat there)\n\n#### What to expect\n\n * Free overnight parking\n * Traditional Bavarian inn\n * Excellent restaurant\n * Quiet village location\n * Good cycling routes nearby\n * Handy vending machines for essentials\n\n\n\n#### Our take\n\nThis was one of those unexpected finds that turned out to be a real highlight. The overnight parking is in a sloping car park behind the pub, but with a few wedges under the wheels we were perfectly comfortable. There are no facilities, but for a free stopover that wasn't a problem for us.\n\nThe real attraction is the pub itself. We enjoyed a great meal, including the enormous ribs that are one of the house specialities. After a day on the road it was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a taste of Austria.\n\nThe village was peaceful and welcoming, with useful vending machines selling everyday essentials. The following morning we headed out on the bikes and discovered a surprisingly beautiful area. Lakes seemed to appear around every corner and there were plenty of quiet roads and cycle routes to explore.\n\nWith a cold weather front moving in, we eventually continued south towards the Alps, but not before enjoying several hours of excellent cycling.\n\nA simple stopover, but one we remember very fondly.\n\n**Rating:** ⭐ 8.5/10\n\n**Best for:**\n👉 Great food, peaceful overnight parking and enjoyable cycling through a lake-filled landscape.",
