There were no water or waste facilities, but for a short stay that wasn’t a problem.\n\nBoppard itself is a pleasant Rhine town with plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants. We enjoyed wandering through the centre and spending time soaking up the atmosphere.\n\nThe following day we enjoyed a lovely cycle ride along the Rhine to Oberwesel and back, passing vineyards, riverside villages and some of the area’s best scenery. It made a great day out directly from the stellplatz.\n\nA simple, good-value stopover in a convenient location and a useful base for exploring this section of the Rhine.\n\n* * *\n\n**Rating:** ⭐ 8/10\n\n**Best for:**\n👉 Exploring Boppard and the Rhine Valley without paying campsite prices",
