"textContent": "The craze for AI could cost consumer tech users far more than they can imagine, as the price of RAM continues to surge because of massive demand from AI data centres.\n\nJust last week, Nothing, the phone brand known for its uniquely designed devices, announced it would be discontinuing the successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro, citing soaring memory prices.\n\n“We were working on a successor, but with memory prices where they are right now, we can’t build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF. As a result, we’ve decided not to launch a new CMF phone this year,” said Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis in a post on X.\n\nAlmost immediately after that announcement, the phone maker began teasing a new device called the Nothing Phone 4b. This has led to speculation that the new phone could be a replacement for the cancelled CMF device. Nothing hasn't confirmed this, but the timing is hard to ignore.\n\n> (b)usted. pic.twitter.com/b42Lk709lM\n>\n> — Nothing India (@nothingindia) June 21, 2026\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
