Irish illness data shows more reports of major pathogens

Infection data from Ireland has revealed an increase in most major pathogens this past year with Salmonella at its highest level since 2008. Figures come from a report published by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) that includes foodborne illnesses in the last quarter and all of 2025.
