Groups raise food safety concerns about UK-India trade deal

Several organizations have warned that a trade deal with India could allow imports produced under lower food safety standards to enter the United Kingdom. Comments were made as part of a call for evidence from August to September 2025. A summary of responses from nine groups was recently published.
