Sick employee likely source of Salmonella outbreak

An investigation has pointed to a food handler being the probable source in a Salmonella outbreak in South Africa. The Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak with 27 patients was reported in July 2024 at a mental health institution in Gauteng.
