The dashboard provides a unique look into how strategic state investments have helped the state secure $1.3 billion in infrastructure funding and how residents can access that funding.
The portal shows how BEAD funding has helped expand broadband access throughout the state to bring rural Coloradans reliable, high-speed internet. State officials explained that technical assistance and matching funds have strengthened the state's ability to win federal broadband grants and connect residents to high-speed internet.
The governor noted that Colorado delivers real results for residents when the state competes aggressively for federal funding and smart investments are made.
“This new dashboard gives taxpayers a transparent look at how our investment is paying off – from expanding broadband and improving transportation to strengthening water infrastructure and supporting local communities,” said Polis, in a release. “Transparency builds trust, and we’re proud to show exactly how Colorado is making every dollar count.”
Users can navigate an interactive map of the state to select one of Colorado’s 64 counties. Once selected, the website discloses how much federal funding has been received and the projects completed using the funding.
Colorado has secured $420.6 million in BEAD funding from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration to bring reliable broadband access to over 96,000 Coloradans in underserved and rural areas. Currently, Colorado’s goal is to connect 99% of all residents.
The dashboard is available to be accessed.
