AT&T Launches Unlimited Data Plan for iPad users
WASHINGTON, June 11, 2026 – iPad users can now access the internet with unlimited data for a flat rate of $3 a day.
AT&T, under CEO John Stankey, is launching an Unlimited Day Pass, giving users a 24-hour unlimited wireless data connection for eligible U.S. iPad users, to give iPad users freedom to buy on-demand connectivity when they need it.

The pass provides unlimited data and can be activated directly through the cellular data device section in the Settings App. The first day pass is free, and the 24-hour data activation begins shortly after the purchase.
The Dallas-based telecommunications giant said it is the first and only major U.S. wireless provider to offer connectivity on demand for U.S. iPad users. The pass is available to any user, regardless of carrier status, if the iPad is cellular and has eSIM capabilities, even without a Wi-Fi connection.
“There is no long-term commitment – just the connectivity you need, when and where you need it,” said Josh Goodell , Vice President of Consumer Product Management for AT&T, in the press release.
Goodell explained that AT&T’s goal is to make it simple for people to connect wherever they are, with any product, using the devices that they rely on. Currently, the Unlimited Day Pass is only eligible for iPads, but the company is working to expand the service to other 5G-enabled devices like smartwatches, Android tablets, laptops and more.
Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of simplified fiber price plans to deliver straightforward plans. AT&T also announced the customizable “Build-A-Plan” to allow customers to choose to pay extra for more data on a month -to- month basis.
