Pharmacists in England are reporting sharp increases in the prices of common medicines, including painkillers and allergy treatments, which they link to the ongoing war in Iran and its disruption of global energy and supply chains. According to the National Pharmaceutical Association (NPA), retail prices for paracetamol have risen by around 20–30% since February, while similar increases have been recorded for cetirizine and other widely used over-the-counter drugs.
