A court in Greece has ordered the state to pay €300,000 in compensation to the family of a woman who died after receiving a Covid-19 vaccine produced by AstraZeneca, in a decision that could have wider legal implications for similar cases.
The ruling came from a court in Athens, which found that the woman’s death was linked to the vaccination and that the state bears responsibility because the immunization campaign was carried out as part of national public health policy during the pandemic.
