"textContent": "I’d love to suggest a **Deep Archive** feature for ChatGPT.\n\nRight now, users have only two options:\n\n * Keep a chat visible in the sidebar.\n * Delete it permanently.\n\n\n\nThere is a missing middle ground.\n\nMany conversations contain valuable references, ideas, project history, or context that I don’t want to lose. However, I also don’t want these chats to remain visible in my conversation list every day.\n\n### Suggested solution\n\nAdd a new option called **Archive** (or **Deep Archive**) next to **Delete**.\n\nArchived chats would:\n\n * Disappear from the main conversation list.\n * Be accessible only from a dedicated Archive section (optionally protected by biometric authentication or a passcode).\n * Continue to be available as context for ChatGPT when relevant.\n * Preserve long-term references without cluttering the sidebar.\n\n\n\n### Why this matters\n\nAs users spend months or years working with ChatGPT, the sidebar becomes crowded with hundreds of conversations.\n\nMany of these chats are:\n\n * Important for future reference.\n * Too valuable to delete.\n * Too personal or sensitive to keep easily visible.\n\n\n\nA Deep Archive would improve both **privacy** and **organization** without sacrificing context.\n\nThis feature would be especially useful for users who use ChatGPT as a long-term thinking partner, knowledge base, or project workspace.\n\nThank you for considering this idea!",
