Started a new conversation.\n\n  2. Sent a prompt.\n\n  3. The conversation was created successfully.\n\n  4. The conversation received an automatic title.\n\n  5. The assistant response never appeared.\n\n  6. The conversation remained empty except for the title.\n\n\n\n\n### After troubleshooting\n\nI performed:\n\n  * Repair\n\n  * Reset\n\n  * Complete reinstall\n\n  * Reinstalled Microsoft Edge\n\n  * Rebooted Windows\n\n\n\n\nAfter reinstalling, the application opened normally but the **Log in** and **Sign up** buttons stopped working completely.\n\n### Current behaviour\n\n  * The application starts.\n\n  * UI loads normally.\n\n  * Menus and other controls work.\n\n  * Only **Log in** and **Sign up** do nothing when clicked.\n\n  * The browser version at https://chatgpt.com works normally with the same account.\n\n\n\n\n### Windows Event Viewer\n\nApplication Hang:\n\n  * Event ID: 1002\n\n  * HangType: Quiesce\n\n  * Process: ChatGPT.exe\n\n  * Version: 1.2026.133.0\n\n\n\n\nThe application does not crash but becomes unresponsive during the authentication flow.\n\n### Additional information\n\nI also verified:\n\n  * HTTPS URL handling works.\n\n  * Default browser works.\n\n  * OAuth page can be opened manually.\n\n  * WebView2 Runtime reports itself as already installed.\n\n  * Edge Update reports:\n`Installation failed. The Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime is already installed for the system.`\n\n  * Reinstalling Edge did not resolve the problem.\n\n\n\n\n### Expected behaviour\n\n  * Responses should render normally.\n\n  * After reinstall, the Login button should start the authentication flow.\n\n\n\n\n### Actual behaviour\n\n  * Responses stopped rendering.\n\n  * After reinstall, Login and Sign up no longer perform any action.\n\n\n",
