  "textContent": "I’ve been using ChatGPT for over three years.\n\nDuring that time, I haven’t just taught it facts about me.\n\nI’ve gradually taught it **how we work together.**\n\nOver hundreds of conversations, we’ve built a collaborative workflow:\n\n  * How I like to reason through problems.\n  * How I prefer technical discussions.\n  * How uncertainty should be communicated.\n  * How we approach software development.\n  * The writing style I expect.\n  * The level of rigor I value.\n  * The patterns I prefer the assistant to avoid.\n\n\n\nThis isn’t personal memory.\n\nIt’s a working relationship.\n\nEvery major model upgrade improves many things, but it also partially resets that relationship.\n\nThe facts often remain.\n\n**The collaboration often doesn’t.**\n\n## **Proposal**\n\nIntroduce a **Persistent Collaboration Profile**.\n\nUnlike Memory, this profile wouldn’t store facts about me.\n\nInstead, it would preserve **how we’ve learned to work together** across future model upgrades.\n\nIt wouldn’t change the model.\n\nIt would simply allow new versions to inherit the collaboration style we’ve already built.\n\n## **Why this matters**\n\nI’ve spent years refining the way I collaborate with ChatGPT.\n\nI’m not teaching it what to think.\n\nI’m teaching it **how we work best together.**\n\nThat investment shouldn’t disappear every time a new model arrives.\n\nI imagine many long-term users have had the same experience.\n\nMemory answers:\n\n**Who am I?**\n\nA Collaboration Profile answers:\n\n**How do we work together?**\n\nThose are different problems.\n\nOne preserves information.\n\nThe other preserves collaboration.\n\nAI models should continue evolving.\n\n**But our working relationship shouldn’t have to start over every time.**",
