Business upgrade from Plus made Personal workspace disappear and Codex usage feels much worse

I’m posting here because this seems related to both a ChatGPT Business migration issue and the practical Codex experience after upgrading from Plus to Business.
I previously used ChatGPT Plus on my personal account. I created a ChatGPT Business workspace for a small two-person workspace. After that, my Plus subscription was automatically canceled/refunded on a prorated basis, my Personal workspace disappeared, and my old personal chat history was moved into the Business workspace.
The old chats eventually reappeared after some delay, so this does not look like permanent deletion. However, the bigger issue is that my personal chat history now appears to be dependent on the Business workspace. I did not intend to permanently merge my Personal workspace into Business or make my personal Plus chat history dependent on a Business subscription.
I have already opened a Help Center support request and it has been escalated to a human support specialist. I can provide the support ticket number once it is available or if OpenAI Support asks for it.
The other major issue is the actual value and usage experience after upgrading. For my region and billing situation, the normal price of the two-seat Business plan is roughly 2.5x to 3x the price of a single Plus subscription. However, in actual use, the combined practical value of two Business seats feels worse than what I previously had with one Plus account.
Codex usage is the most obvious example. After moving from Plus to Business, the practical Codex allowance/usage experience feels significantly worse than my previous Plus workflow. It seems to drain much faster than expected during normal coding tasks. I understand that Codex usage can depend on task size, context, model, token usage, and other factors, but in actual use the Business workspace feels much less durable than Plus.
This is especially confusing because Business requires at least two seats and costs much more for my use case. I expected Business to provide at least a comparable practical experience to Plus, plus business/workspace features. Instead, I now feel like I am paying much more while receiving a worse practical experience for my main use case.
In practice, I now have:
1. A much more expensive two-seat Business subscription.
2. A disappeared Personal workspace.
3. My old personal Plus chats migrated into the Business workspace.
4. Uncertainty about what happens to those migrated chats if I cancel or deactivate Business.
5. A Codex experience that feels worse than my previous Plus workflow.
6. GPT-5.5 Pro usage that is much more limited than I expected for the price.
7. A situation where two Business seats, at roughly 2.5x to 3x the cost of one Plus account, feel less useful for my workflow than my previous single Plus account.
What I’m trying to understand:
* Is this Personal → Business merge reversible in any way?
* Can migrated personal chats be moved or copied back to a Personal workspace?
