"textContent": "I tried, unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I am trying the API key and it works. Filling the issue with OpenAI now.\n\nSubject: Xcode Codex ChatGPT Sign-in Fails, API Key Authentication Works\n\nEnvironment:\n\n * macOS 26.5\n\n * Xcode 26.5 (Build 17F42)\n\n * ChatGPT Pro subscription active\n\n * Codex CLI v0.137.0\n\n\n\n\nObserved behavior:\n\n * Codex Web works correctly.\n\n * Codex CLI works correctly and authenticates successfully.\n\n * Xcode Codex fails when using “Sign in with ChatGPT”.\n\n * Xcode displays “Requires Eligible Account or API Key”.\n\n * The issue reproduces in a completely new macOS user account.\n\n\n\n\nTroubleshooting performed:\n\n * Upgraded Xcode to 26.5.\n\n * Tested with a fresh macOS user account.\n\n * Verified ChatGPT Pro subscription is active.\n\n * Verified Codex CLI authentication succeeds.\n\n * Verified Codex Web authentication succeeds.\n\n\n\n\nResult:\n\n * Configuring Xcode Codex using an OpenAI API key works immediately.\n\n * Agentic coding functions correctly when authenticated via API key.\n\n * Therefore the issue appears isolated to the ChatGPT sign-in / entitlement / OAuth path used by Xcode.\n\n\n\n\nExpected behavior:\n\n * A valid ChatGPT Pro account should authenticate successfully in Xcode Codex without requiring API-key authentication.\n\n",
