Mac OS ChatGPT(OpenAI) application bug - memory leak

By the time I receive the message about app memory exhaustion on my Mac, the ChatGPT app is over 200GB and all of my apps have been paused. “Resuming” doesn’t seem to work - I have to force-kill everything (not just ChatGPT - all of the apps) to recover the system. This doesn’t seem like a viable “solution”, nor does it seem reasonable to have my “AI Assistant” offline except when I need it in short bursts.
