Unexpected API charges from Codex CLI despite ChatGPT login

Hi, I experienced a very similar issue as well. This happened to me in April 2026. Since your post was from September 2025, it seems that this problem has existed for months and may still not be fully resolved. I also contacted OpenAI Support, but the experience has been very frustrating. They repeatedly misunderstood the issue. Asking me to provide more evidence, but not review them at all. My case has still not been properly handled. Did you ever get a proper explanation, refund, or escalation from OpenAI?
