"textContent": "Peepz, do not subscribe to the \"prices are climbing because training|inference|electricity|whatever is expensive.\nInsiders wink-wink-smirk that the two top labs run at about 70% markup, this is a profit margin unheard of in human history.\nIt’s simply a money grab, and, from business point of view, I can see why OpenAI has to raise prices - after all, markets judge the models quality and company valuation by the perceived value=subscription price, and OpenAI is on the defensive here.\nThe real fuckers are Anthropic, but we are all caught up in this money grab.\nOf course, the right move is to massively unsubscribe from Claude/invoke investigation into market manipulation ahead of IPO. I cannot help there - not a lawyer, and not a Claude subscriber (I use it via enterprise account and via Copilot personal, strictly for comparison).\n\nBtw, I agree 5.5 is the better model in real-world tasks, but enterprise byers/markets dont see it that way.",
