  "textContent": "Hi @sanity,\n\nBased on the docs, older files should remain in **Library** until they are manually deleted, except for files uploaded in **Temporary Chat**.\n\nThe release notes say **Storage Management** is available from **Settings** → **Storage** and also state:\n\n> Files remain in your Library until you delete them. Files uploaded in Temporary Chat aren’t saved to Library.\n\nhttps://help.openai.com/en/articles/6825453-chatgpt-release-notes\n\nThe **File storage / Library** article also says files are saved to your account until you delete them manually:\n\nhttps://help.openai.com/en/articles/20001052-file-storage-and-library-in-chatgpt\n\nSo if **Storage Management / Library** only shows files from the past five days exactly, that sounds inconsistent with the documented behavior, unless the missing files were uploaded in **Temporary Chat** or **already deleted**.\n\n* * *\n\nIf you can reproduce it consistently, this may be something **OpenAI Support/staff** needs to look at. In that case you can contact them either through Help or email: support@openai.com and open a support ticket.\n\nIf you do need to contact them, I think it would probably help to include:\n\n  * plan\n\n  * platform/browser\n\n  * whether the older files were uploaded in normal chats or **Temporary Chat**\n\n  * whether the older files still appear in the original chats\n\n  * whether they appear in the composer file picker / recent files\n\n  * whether this happens in both **Library** and **Settings → Storage**\n\n\n",
