"textContent": "## Feature Request: Allow Image Uploads and Connector Access When Editing a Prompt\n\nI would like to request expanded support for ChatGPT’s prompt editing feature.\n\nRight now, editing a previous prompt is useful when a user wants to quickly pivot, refine the ask, or redirect the conversation without starting over. However, the feature is limited because the edited prompt cannot currently include new image uploads or connector-based context.\n\nThis creates a workflow gap.\n\nFor example, a user may submit a prompt, receive an answer, then realize that an image, file, document, spreadsheet, email, calendar item, or connected source would provide important context for a better response. Instead of being able to edit the original prompt and attach that missing context, the user has to continue in a new message or restart the workflow. That makes prompt editing less powerful than it could be.\n\nA better version of prompt editing would allow users to:\n\n 1. Upload images when editing a previous prompt.\n\n 2. Attach or reference files when editing a previous prompt.\n\n 3. Use available connectors when editing a previous prompt.\n\n 4. Preserve the edited-prompt workflow while allowing the user to add richer context.\n\n\n\n\nThis would make prompt editing much more useful for visual work, document analysis, research, coding, design feedback, data workflows, and quick pivots where the user realizes they need to add more context after the fact.\n\nThe core benefit is simple: prompt editing should let users revise both the instruction and the context, not just the text.\n\nThis would make the feature feel more complete, reduce unnecessary follow-up messages, and help users get to the correct answer faster without restarting the conversation.",
