Codex users report rapid quota drains since May 10

Hi everyone,

This may be related to the current OpenAI status incident.

OpenAI is currently investigating an “Increase in users hitting Codex rate limits,” with Codex Web, App, Codex API, CLI and VS Code extension listed as affected components.

Since several users here are reporting unusually fast quota drain / hitting limits much sooner than expected, this seems likely connected or at least worth tracking until the incident is resolved.
