"textContent": "Feature request: intelligent chat history management\n\nLong-term ChatGPT users can accumulate hundreds or thousands of chats. The current tools — rename, archive, delete, search, and projects — are not enough to manage that history at scale.\n\nChatGPT should be able to help users organize their own chat history intelligently, including:\n\n * Bulk archive/delete suggestions\n\n * AI-generated summaries for old chats\n\n * Automatic topic clustering\n\n * Project recommendations\n\n * Colour labels or tag labels\n\n * “Active / Archive / Junk” classification\n\n * Ability to create a master archive index\n\n * Safe review-before-delete workflow\n\n * Search by remembered topic, not just exact title/text\n\n * Migration tools for moving related chats into Projects\n\n\n\n\nExample user request:\n\n“Clean up my history. Keep active projects visible, archive old useful chats, delete obvious junk, and create a project index.”\n\nThe assistant should be able to propose a plan, show the suggested changes, let the user approve, and then apply them.\n\nThis would make ChatGPT feel less like a pile of old conversations and more like an actual long-term assistant.",
