"textContent": "Hi,\n\nThe docs say mobile setup requires the Codex App on a Mac host, signed into the same ChatGPT account and workspace as the phone. They also say the setup flow is not available from the Codex CLI or IDE extension.\n\ndevelopers.openai.com\n\n### Remote connections – Codex | OpenAI Developers\n\nConnect your phone or another device to a Codex host, or use projects on remote machines over SSH\n\nSo I would first double-check (if you already haven’t) that:\n\n * you are using the macOS Codex App as the host\n * the Mac host is awake/online and running Codex\n * ChatGPT Mobile is updated\n * both the phone and host are signed into the same ChatGPT account and workspace\n * any required MFA/SSO/passkey step is completed\n * if this is a workspace account, Remote Control access is enabled\n\n\n\nIf all of that is correct and ChatGPT Mobile still shows the `hotmail` address while Codex shows the `gmail` address, then it sounds like **Support** may need to check the account/workspace mapping directly.",
