"textContent": "I would love to see an optional personalized dashboard as the ChatGPT home screen — not a fixed page, but a flexible control center that every user can configure exactly the way they want.\n\nThe dashboard should combine existing and future ChatGPT capabilities in one place, for example:\n\n- Tasks and reminders\n\n * one-time reminders\n\n * recurring reminders\n\n * scheduled background requests\n\n\n\n\n- Recurring information checks\n\n * daily or weekly summaries\n\n * tracked topics such as stocks, projects, travel plans, news, or personal interests\n\n * “notify me if something relevant changes”\n\n\n\n\n- Personal overview\n\n * ongoing tasks\n\n * recent important conversations\n\n * open topics from previous chats\n\n * suggestions like “What should I work on this weekend?” based on memory and chat history\n\n\n\n\n- Connected information\n\n * calendar items\n\n * relevant emails or pending follow-ups\n\n * outputs from connected sources, if the user has enabled them\n\n\n\n\nThe important part: two ways to build it\n\nThe dashboard should be customizable in both ways:\n\n1. Manually via drag & drop\n\n * move widgets freely\n\n * resize them\n\n * hide or add sections\n\n * choose whether the dashboard is compact or information-dense\n\n\n\n\n2. Conversationally with ChatGPT\n\n * the user can simply say:\n\n * “Build me a dashboard with my reminders, recurring requests, stock updates and open projects.”\n\n * “Make the task section larger.”\n\n * “Show weekend suggestions only on Fridays.”\n\n * “Remove the news widget and add my calendar instead.”\n\n * ChatGPT then creates or restructures the dashboard automatically.\n\n\n\n\nExample use case\n\nA user opens the app and immediately sees:\n\n- Today’s reminders\n\n- Running recurring tasks\n\n- New results from scheduled checks\n\n- Important updates on followed topics\n\n- Open personal projects\n\n- Suggested next actions based on prior conversations\n\nEach dashboard card should be interactive:\n\n- open the related chat or task\n\n- edit, pause or delete recurring requests\n\n- manually refresh a card\n\n- change how often it updates\n\nWhy this would be valuable\n\nChatGPT already has many of the required building blocks: memory, tasks, proactive suggestions, connected sources and personalized responses.\n\nA dashboard would bring these capabilities together and turn ChatGPT from a pure chat interface into a personal control center.\n\nThe key is that it should not be a rigid default page.\n\nSome users may want only two simple cards; others may want a full information cockpit. With drag & drop plus AI-assisted setup, both groups could build exactly what suits them.",
