From an End User's perspective

Dear OpenAI Team,
I am writing this as a sincere product suggestion from a long-time and highly active AI user. I spend more than 10 hours a day working with AI tools and data-driven workflows. My role combines responsibilities of a data analyst, accountant, IT professional, researcher, and problem solver. AI is no longer just a chatbot for me; it is part of my daily work environment.
I actively use and compare multiple AI products including ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, Claude, and other emerging platforms. I keep multiple AI shortcuts on my desktop and frequently run identical prompts across different systems to compare behavior, reasoning quality, continuity, workflow handling, and output accuracy.
My process is simple: I never rely on a single AI response. I give the same prompt to several AI systems and compare how each one performs. I analyze strengths, weaknesses, speed, reasoning, and ability to maintain context over time.
One of the most important use cases for me involves file-based workflows:
* Uploading Excel sheets
* Asking detailed questions across rows and columns
* Finding discrepancies
* Performing mathematical calculations
* Linking multiple spreadsheets together
* Comparing one file against another
* Working with labor-law formulas and business logic
* Continuing analysis over long sessions
* Combining Excel, Word documents, images, and other file types into one discussion
Recently I experienced a situation where I uploaded one file, discussed it extensively, and later uploaded another file connected to the first one. Another AI platform continued the conversation and handled relationships between both files successfully. ChatGPT, however, stopped because of usage limitations and requested a paid upgrade.
This interruption creates a workflow problem. The issue is not simply pricing; it is continuity.
When users are deeply engaged in research and analytical work, they expect:
1. Longer uninterrupted conversations
2. Better continuity across multiple files
3. Preservation of context between uploaded documents
4. Cross-file analysis and calculations
5. Fewer interruptions due to message or attachment limits
6. Better support for long learning sessions
7. Extended attachment support for Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PDFs, and images
8. The ability to continue complex projects over time
These workflows are not entertainment use cases. They represent how professionals increasingly work.
My observation after weeks of active comparison is that conversation continuity heavily influences user loyalty. When users can continue naturally without hitting limits, they become more engaged and more dependent on the platform.
AI systems improve through interaction. More engagement creates more real-world learning opportunities, stronger usage patterns, and better understanding of how people actually work.
This feedback is not written as criticism. I want ChatGPT to grow and improve because I was using it before many competing platforms. I would genuinely like to see ChatGPT become the strongest product in this space.
Please consider feedback from users who rely on AI not occasionally, but as part of their daily professional workflow.
Thank you for your time and for building technology that many people now depend on every day.
Sincerely,
A dedicated AI power user
