Codex app performance extremely bad

Seen this post a dozen times, going to repost anyway as other posts are locked. This morning I spent 5 minutes waiting on the result of this request: “Close the current dev servers at 3000 and 3001 and reboot from the correct feature branch.” I don’t really know what else to tell you. It’s a codebase. It has files. Probably a little bigger than a regular codebase, but nowhere near extreme. I’m on a Macbook M3 Pro Max running just Codex in two windows. Is this going to be the top level of performance to be expected from Codex? Because then even current state Opus 4.7 is going to be better. When I switched over a few weeks ago I told my friend “Damn it’s so fast too!”: none of that remains. It’s EXTREMELY SLUGGISH, in everything it does. Has there been any official statement since the latest posts I read from around end of March? Workarounds? Fixes?
