  "textContent": "Welcome to the forum!\n\nI could reproduce this on my side.\n\nUploading the PDF to Files worked, but when I attached the same PDF to a vector store, it failed during the vector store processing step.\n\nFor comparison, a .yaml.txt file attached to the same vector store successfully.\n\nSo from my quick test, this does seem specific to certain file types during vector store processing, not normal file upload itself.\n\nI also checked the status page and don’t currently see an incident listed for this:\n\nOpenAI Status\n\n### OpenAI Status\n\nLatest service status for OpenAI\n\nMight be worth reporting to **Support** with failed file IDs, vector store IDs, timestamp, file types tested, screenshots and whether it happens through dashboard/API/both.\n\nhttps://help.openai.com/en",
