  "textContent": "Welcome to the forum!\n\nheymarton:\n\n> if anyone else has the problem that after clicking the update button in the upper left corner codex closes but seems to be stuck in the updating process?\n\nCan’t say if such problems were specific to Codex.\n\nI do use the Windows VSCode Codex extension and do click the link to reload the extensions. Most of the time it works, albeit killing any active conversations, so have to do so just before starting a new converstation.\n\nHowever, the never ending wait is something that does happen from time to time and the first thing I do is to start disabling most if not all of the extensions expect the ones needing updating.\n\nHTH",
