"textContent": "Yeah this is a major issue and has been for months now. It baffles me that they haven’t fixed it yet. From what I’ve noticed, there are two components to it:\n\n1st, if you make a recording any longer than 3-4 minutes there is a 50/50 shot whether the recording gets successfully transcribed or whether 98% of the content disappears and all you get is 2-3 random sentence fragments. Sometimes it doesn’t transcribe anything at all and just produces an error message. Either way, the recording feature is extremely untrustworthy due to this, because you can have no confidence that what you’ll say will actually get captured and transcribed. And there’s no way to recover your recording and try transcribing it again, since the way they’ve set up the UX buries all that and makes the recording experience so transient. Once it’s gone, it’s gone forever.\n\n2nd, my recordings routinely get cut short because the 10 minute timer constantly goes off after less than 2-3 minutes. In these cases, my words up to that point are usually transcribed, so at least there isn’t a loss of content. But it’s exceptionally annoying because it interrupts your train of thought, and the timing of it is completely erratic. You’ll be 90 seconds into a recording, and it cuts you off saying it’s been 10 minutes. Last year, none of this was an issue. I would use the transcription feature routinely and would just set a 10 minute timer for myself knowing that it would cut the recording when I hit 10 minutes. And it was extremely reliable. It never lost my recordings and never cut me off short. But all that functionality has now degraded astonshingly.\n\nAt this point the transcribe feature is completely unusable. It’s been months of this garbage service and I’m shocked something this significant to user experience hasn’t been identified and triaged. I’m a paying subscriber and am on the verge of dropping my subscription.",
