Improve ChatGPT UI: Collapsible Projects + Bulk Conversation Management

I’d like to suggest two UI/UX improvements that would significantly improve usability, especially for users managing many conversations and projects.

1. Collapsible Projects (Folders)

Problem: When there are many projects, the sidebar becomes cluttered and difficult to navigate.

Proposed solution: Introduce expand/collapse functionality for projects using arrow toggles.

Details:

• Each project has a toggle ( / ▼)
• Conversations inside are hidden until expanded
• State is remembered (persisted across sessions)

Benefit: Cleaner interface, easier navigation, and better scalability for power users.

2. Bulk Selection & Deletion of Conversations

Problem: Deleting conversations one by one is slow and inefficient.

Proposed solution: Add multi-select mode with checkboxes.

Details:

• Ability to select multiple conversations
• Actions: delete / archive
• Support for shift-click and “select all”

Benefit: Saves time and makes conversation management much more efficient.

These features are standard in many apps (e.g. email, file managers) and would greatly improve ChatGPT usability.
