Title: Save-to-Source / Save-to-Folder Button for Structured Outputs
Problem:
Users generate high-value structured content (principles, stories, frameworks) inside ChatGPT, but there is no native way to save these outputs directly into organized folders or reusable source libraries. This forces manual copy-paste workflows, which creates friction and leads to lost insights.
Current Behavior:
Users must:
* Copy content manually
* Paste into external tools (Notes, Notion, files)
* Reorganize and store manually
This breaks workflow continuity and causes valuable content to be lost across long threads.
Proposed Feature:
Add a “Save to Source” or “Save to Folder” button alongside existing options like “Copy” and “Edit” on structured output blocks.
Functionality:
* One-click save of a response block
* Ability to assign to a folder (e.g., Inputs, Principles, Case Studies)
* Optional tagging (e.g., Principle, Story, Framework)
* Persistent storage inside ChatGPT or connected workspace
Optional Enhancements:
* Auto-detect structured blocks (like formatted writing blocks)
* Suggest tags based on content
* Allow export to external systems (Notion, files, etc.)
Value:
* Reduces friction in capturing insights
* Enables building a personal knowledge base inside ChatGPT
* Supports workflows like:
→ Sources → Synthesis → Models
* Prevents loss of high-value ideas across long sessions
Use Case:
Users building systems, frameworks, or IP (e.g., Life OS, business models, diagnostics) can quickly capture and reuse outputs without breaking flow.
Outcome:
Transforms ChatGPT from a conversation tool into a persistent thinking and knowledge system.
