"textContent": "Subject: Feature Request: Merge Chat Memories for Controlled Multi-Chat Workflows\n\nMessage:\n\nHello OpenAI Team,\n\nI would like to suggest a feature that could significantly improve workflow and memory management in ChatGPT: the ability to merge the memories of two or more chats into a new chat, on command.\n\nHow it would work:\n\n1. Controlled memory access: A chat can access the memory of other chats only when the user commands it. This allows the AI to “borrow” context without automatically loading all past chats.\n\n2. Topic-aware grouping: Each chat’s memory remains labeled and grouped by its original topic. This avoids confusion or conflicts between information from different chats.\n\n3. Attachments included: Attachments (images, files, videos) should be part of the memory, with visibility to the user, so that continuity of conversations is preserved.\n\n4. On-demand memory merging: Only merges when requested, keeping performance fast and reducing the chance of AI errors.\n\n5. Transparency: Users can check what a chat remembers before merging, providing safety and clarity.\n\nBenefits:\n\nKeeps topics separate while allowing context sharing.\n\nReduces workload on the AI by not requiring full histories to be loaded constantly.\n\nProvides a safer, less error-prone environment for creative work, research, or multi-topic projects.\n\nMakes long-term projects and workflows more manageable, particularly for creators reviewing artwork, developing stories, or working on multi-step tasks.\n\nThis feature would make ChatGPT more versatile, especially for users who manage multiple threads for different topics but want the flexibility to connect context as needed.\n\nThank you for considering this suggestion. I hope it can be implemented in a future update.\n\nSincerely,\n\nmangachor595@gmail.com",
