AI Operating System for PC
Interesting thread.
I’ve actually been thinking about this a lot lately. My feeling is that the real shift isn’t AI inside apps — it’s AI becoming the layer above them.
In other words, instead of us operating software, AI operates the software for us.
I’ve been exploring an idea called INONX AIOS (INONX AI) , basically an experiment around an AI operating system for one-person companies.
The rough idea looks something like this:
• an AI “kernel” that understands intent • a memory layer that remembers projects, context, and workflows • agents that actually execute tasks • integrations with existing tools and software
So the flow becomes something like:
Human → intent AIOS → planning Agents → execution
If something like this works, the implications are pretty crazy.
A single person could potentially run what used to require a whole team.
The future desktop might look less like a computer… and more like a small company run by AI agents.
Curious if anyone else here is exploring similar ideas.
