"textContent": "Having the same issue for 8+ months across numerous browsers - latest are Safari 26.3, Chrome 144 on macOS.\n\nOn my end, the issue occurs as soon as a message is sent to ChatGPT and the page begins hanging. Once the model starts responding, no more than 1-2 lines of text begin appearing before the entire page hangs for minutes.\n\nRefreshing the page before the models begins responding often results in your message not being received by ChatGPT. Sometimes refreshing the page does not work and the tab needs to be closed entirely and conversation re-opened. After a refresh or new tab load, the entire conversation with the response that was hanging now appears just fine.\n\nIf you allow the tab to eventually start responding again (often several minutes) and try to send another message to ChatGPT, the same issue will happen again. This tells me that it’s not an issue with loading previous message history, as it should have already been done in the previous message that was sent since the tab was not reloaded.\n\nI hope this gets developer attention soon. It makes ChatGPT almost unusable. With chats which require long, specific references to previous parts of the discussion, asking for a summary and starting a new chat is not a feasible option.",
