Sometimes it’s your GitHub that should do the talking, even when some of your projects are a bit “out there”. Then again, I’m Finnish, so please excuse the blunt approach.

FlyingFathead - Overview

Building Finnish FennoGPT model since 2020=>. Founded the ChatKeke framework in 2023. Most of my code projects are AI related. Developer and tech writer. - FlyingFathead

The longer story is that I started way back in the day with nowadays antiquated architectures and programming languages. Working on SBC’s on ARM64 were a major thing for me in the 2010’s alongside my tech related work.

As neural networks became more prevalent, I finally built my own Finnish GPT-2 model using the base model from OpenAI at around 2020 to 2021 or so; used and curated my own corpus, implemented my own frameworks, used a custom vocab BPE for the model, and so foth. Trained it on my home GPU cluster, because what else.

I had been tinkering with GPT-3 via the OpenAI API & playground for quite some time before ChatGPT got launched and after that the AI hype train really took off; been both optimistic and very pessimistic over the years on where it’s all headed.

In the past years, I’ve been doing customized LLM’s, various computer vision applications, speech recognition, OCR, AI helpers w/ RAG and tailored workflows for different clients, applications and platforms, writing articles for tech mags, and doing a lot of obscure tech side projects meanwhile.
