Because I choose the work over family.\" Barletta Productions has unveiled the first trailer for a documentary film titled Robert Richardson: The White Devil, a story about the Oscar winning cinematographer Robert Richardson. The is premiering at the 2026 Karlovy Vary Film Festival (aka KVIFF) next month in Czechia, because it's directed by a Czech director named Jana Hojdova. She is also a cinematographer and this film is also her story of becoming friends with Robert Richardson after she reached out to him. Her intro: \"Several years ago, while living in Prague, I sent an email to [him] with almost no expectation of ever getting a reply. To me, he was one of the greatest cinematographers of all time, the creative force behind some of cinema’s most unforgettable images.
