Signature Entertainment in the UK has unveiled an official UK trailer for a creepy new biotech horror thriller called The Cure, made by filmmaker Nancy Leopardi. This wouldn't even be worth worrying about if it wasn't for this cast in it. Ally Braun, a 16-year-old adopted girl with a mysterious illness, discovers her biotech billionaire parents are harvesting her blood for sinister reasons. In the film, David Dastmalchian and Ashley Greene co-star as her adoptive parents, who have sinister designs linked to her recovery and the surrounding community. She must figure out what is going and escape them before it's too late. Samantha Cochran stars as Ally, along with Sydney Taylor, Tyler Lawrence Gray, Alex Veadov, Marisa Echeverria, and Bunny Levine. This looks like some direct-to-video junk, utilizing a familiar premise while playing up the horror without offering anything else interesting or clever in the filmmaking. No US release set yet.
