"textContent": "_We're back for the second year! If you missed out last time, get tickets early since we're likely to reach capacity._\n\nYou're invited! We will be convening on **Salt Spring Island** , BC, Canada **July 30 – Aug 3**.\n\nGet Tickets!\n\nWe’ll be together for **three full unforgettable days of camping, creativity, and connection** in a beautiful natural setting! _We encourage you to arrive the night before (Thursday) and leave the morning after (Monday)._ Last year was amazing and this year we’re planning for an even richer experience.\n\nCollaborate and recharge, swap ideas, build mesh networks, dive into digital resilience and local-first tech, the intersections of DWeb and regenerative agriculture, and explore what it means to empower communities from the ground up, all centered on the _DWeb Principles_.\n\nWhether you're a builder, gardener, dreamer, coder, artist, organizer, or curious camper, this is the place to co-create something meaningful and find your people.\n\n**What to expect:**\n\n * Amazing people\n * Topics ranging from decentralized technology to community practices to land stewardship to economic justice\n * Delicious local-first food made with help from campers\n * Camping (Vehicles or tents)\n * _Open_ mic, dancing, and parties in the evenings\n * Blackberries in abundance\n * Unconference and scheduled talks\n * Art and experimentation\n * Imagining new worlds together\n\n\n\n**We won’t be able to accommodate more than 100 people total, so get your tickets early.** There’s a high likelihood with DWeb Camp traveling to Europe this year that we will reach capacity in advance.\n\nRegister Now\n\n## FAQ\n\n### Q: Is this event family-friendly?\n\nYes, kids are welcome! Depending on how many kids are expected, we will assess specific programming and activities, so if you're thinking of bringing kids, please register early. Note that all campers will need to be ticketed, regardless of age.\n\n### Q: Do I need to be a technology person to attend?\n\nNo, DWeb Camp Cascadia is for anyone who cares about: technology for human agency, distributed benefits, mutual respect, humanity, and ecological awareness. Campers have been artists, scientists, farmers, designers, community organizers, as well as technologists of various kinds.\n\n### Q: Can I bring my car or RV?\n\nYes! There is some space for cars and RVs in the camping area.\n\n### Q: I want to contribute to programming or volunteer with Camp planning, how do I do that?\n\nWhen you register, you can let us know about what you would like to present. To volunteer, send us a message and we'll connect you with the right folks!\n\n### Q: How do I get to Salt Spring Island?\n\nWe can help you plan from wherever you are coming from. There are ferries from the Vancouver area and from Vancouver Island. There are also seaplanes for the jet-setters.
