Call 815-965-8751 to donate whole blood or \"double red\" (takes a little longer but twice the benefit).\n\nOne out of seven hospital patients need blood. Anyone in good health, at least 17 years old (or 16 years old with parental consent), and at least 110 pounds may donate whole blood every 56 days.\n\nPlease bring a photo ID, eat a hearty meal, and drink plenty of liquids before donating.\n\nThe actual blood donation usually takes less than ten minutes. The entire process from the time you sign in to the time you leave takes about an hour.\n",
