2022's 'WDYM' Trend Makes A Big Comeback On TikTok, Essentially As A 'Smash Or Pass' Format

Armanibanz "WDYM" Takes or I'm Finna Leave refers to a series of memes using the song "WDYM?" by Armanibanz where attractive anime or fictional characters are shown one-by-one saying a variation of the phrase, "Come over here," followed by a video of someone walking towards each character, with one unattractive or inappropriately aged character added into the mix as Armanibanz sings, "I'm finna leave," as the walking character is shown reversing course. The memes, which essentially use the song to "smash or pass" characters, first started appearing on TikTok as early as February 2022. When they first started, the memes were about ranking the skills or power levels of various characters. The memes experienced a resurgence in popularity in early June 2026, sometimes mixing in the Subaru Stairs meme as the walking reaction.
