The Bricks and Minifigs 200k Lego Heist Scandal refers to an incident where a Bricks & Minifigs (BAM) store in Salem, Oregon is accused of stealing a Lego Star Wars collection allegedly worth $200,000 from a man named Bryan Mansell, who gave his collection to the store on consignment after suffering a health incident. The consignment contract claims that he still owns the Lego sets, but the store refuses to give them back. The contract was signed before the store switched ownership, which was used as a loophole by the franchise's owner Josh to claim he didn't have to follow the contract, with both the franchisees and corporate claiming that they don't even do consignments. The scandal went viral in late May 2026 after YouTuber Reckless Ben posted a video where he confronts the store managers, BAM's corporate branch and everyone involved in the purported "heist" to try and get the sets back, being turned away at every chance. As the scandal evolved, it was alleged by Ben, and evidenced through his videos on the topic, that the police were working with BAM to cover up the scandal. Purportedly, the cover-up stems from the parties involved being Mormon. The scandal inspired widespread online discourse and memes, including memes targeted at the CEO of Bricks and Minifigs Ammon McNeff, which portray him as a villain.
