She seems to feel better after receiving her blood transplant last week. She can eat, use her bathroom and sleeps all day like a normal cat.

After I've finished yesterday's work of collecting my old diary from 2025, I saw her in this pose and wanted to sketch her out. I really like doing things on paper cause they can get messy and you aren't worried about perfection or trying to find where that functions are. You just scribble your pencil down on real papers. It's liberating to say the least.

The drawing and The subject

She's been through a lot for a 7 years old cat. I found her as a stray at the back of my old house around 2019. She's still little and scrawny and kinda ugly. She's a definition of scaredy cat but we adore her. First time she's been to a hospital was a disaster. She ran around, scratching everyone in the room. All of the Doctors and Nurses had to get vaccinated cause she doesn't had one yet.

Film scanned of my cat back at the old house
I took this picture with my film camera back in 2024 which isn't old but the film look does make this like 1999.

Turns out she had Leukaemia and many disease inside her. She got really sick one time and had to get an emergency procedure to remove stones from her ovaries which spayed her at the same time. Doctor had said to me that she wouldn't last beyond a year from now. 6 years later, she's still meowing and being stubborn as a cat can be. She might had live passed her expiration dates but we do what we can to make her life a bit better.

I wanted to get her story out cause it's a rollercoaster of emotional for us, taking care of her for the last 7 years.

Anything comes and goes and so will she but at least she's happy now.

See you around!
